Magic West is run by brothers Alexi and Dmitri Glickman — composers shaped by years of shared practice and collaboration.

We grew up making music together — shaping chords, swapping instruments, learning by ear. Magic West is built from that shared foundation — harmony that matters, rhythm that moves, and music that lives beyond the lesson.

Alexi Glickman

Alexi is a composer and producer based in Marin. His work spans film scoring, record production, and chamber writing. In lessons, he emphasizes harmonic depth and careful listening, helping students build a durable relationship to their instrument — one rooted in understanding, not just repetition. His teaching is focused but relaxed, serious about the music while remaining fun and easygoing in spirit.

Dmitri Glickman

Dmitri is a composer based in Point Richmond. His work spans chamber writing, vocal pieces, symphonic works, and solo piano. He brings a steady, patient approach to teaching, helping students develop rhythm, fluency, and confidence through real music-making and attentive practice. His lessons are thoughtful and exploratory — always welcoming, fun, and easygoing.
